JOINTS
Bones work in many ways with other parts of our bodies such as muscles and joints that allow us to move fast or slow, turn and twist or stretch and be flexible. A joint can be defined as when two bones are joined together but still allow movement between the two. There are many types of joints in the body and each of them moves in different ways. The two types of joints that are most familiar are the ball-and-socket joints and hinge joints. Ball-and-socket joints can be found in the hip and shoulder which allows these bones to move freely in all directions. Hinge joints can be found in the fingers, elbows, and knees that allow a back-and-forth movement.
